WCDT Meetings

If you would like to attend our monthly meetings you are more than welcome to come along and find out more about our upcoming and existing projects. Our meetings are the first Tuesday of every month 7pm – 9pm at the CDT office, 61 West Main Street, Whitburn.

Board of Directors

We are actively recruiting board members to help expand and sustain our organisation in a variety of ways to allow us to continue to create and be involved in creating community projects for the benefit of the town and its people. We would like to recruit people with particular experience in Marketing, Business Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation. If you would be interested and believe you could add value to our board in one of these areas or in general then please do hesitate in getting touch with our Development Worker david@whitburncdt.org.uk to discuss this further or call 01501 748708.

Friends of Polkemmet

Friends of Polkemmet group are always looking for new members to join and participate in our activities. Anyone can join and come along although anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If you would like to be involved in improving your local country park then please visit the Friends of Polkemmet page for more details.

Polkemmet Parkrun

This event runs weekly on a Saturday morning from 9.30. Polkemmet parkrun solely rely on volunteers to help out weekly at the event and there are many roles that need covered on a weekly basis so you won’t necessarily need to do the same role each week. Digital Inclusion Mentors

Good on computers, could you spare a couple of hours a week to help clients on a one to one basis set up email accounts, job search and provide some basic guidance on using packages like word to write CV’s etc? Interested? Contact david@whitburncdt.org.uk

Citizens Advice Bureau

Whitburn’s financial inclusion project will be looking for volunteers towards the end of 2019 to be trained to deliver financial advice. More information to follow.
